On the morning of June 12th, more than 20 high school freshmen from Guangzhou Middle School visited Manztek’s headquarters in Science City for a half-day study and career exploration activity. The event consisted of several segments: learning about the principles of infrared audio technology, touring the facility, hands-on assembly of an infrared audio system, and a final review session.Filled with curiosity and enthusiasm, the students enjoyed the entire experience, gaining knowledge and insights vastly different from their regular classroom learning.

Most of the participating students said this was their first time visiting a company, and they were particularly intrigued by Manztek’s infrared wireless audio products.

In daily life, audio amplification systems are widely used in scenarios such as stage performances and KTVs. For the students, the most relatable application was classroom audio systems.

While they knew that teachers use microphones to amplify their voices through speakers, they were unfamiliar with the underlying technology—how the signals are received, transmitted, and amplified. This was exactly what they were eager to learn, and one of the key objectives of this study trip.At the beginning of the event, Manztek staff introduced the company and its infrared audio products, explaining in detail the technical principles and system components of infrared wireless audio equipment. This gave the students a clear understanding of how the system works. They finally realized that, beyond microphones and speakers, an audio system also requires a signal sensor and a host device to receive and process audio signals before transmitting them through speakers. They were amazed to learn that infrared light could serve as a carrier for sound signals, marveling at the wonders of technology—especially physics—and gaining a tangible sense of how knowledge translates into real-world applications. This experience further sparked their interest in physics.

To provide a hands-on experience, the students were divided into two groups. Working collaboratively, each group independently completed the entire process of disassembling, assembling, connecting, and debugging a Manztek DW-305 infrared wireless audio system, ultimately achieving successful microphone amplification and online meeting audio output.

This hands-on activity tested their organizational, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and management skills.

Such experiences not only allow students to witness the fascinating transformation of components into a finished product but also inspire their potential career interests.

Through friendly competition, the students showcased their abilities, and all groups successfully achieved the desired audio amplification effect.

At the end of the event, Manztek presented the students with study certificates as a memento of their infrared audio technology experience. These certificates are like seeds, hopefully inspiring a lasting interest in technology and its applications—one that may grow into a lifelong passion.By stepping into a real-world corporate environment, students gained a direct understanding of how technology is transformed into the products we use daily, helping them develop a broader worldview.Through interactive exchanges and hands-on experiences, they got a taste of real workplace dynamics and various career possibilities, serving as an enlightening lesson in life and career planning.

The best education happens beyond the classroom. We hope this study trip allowed the students to appreciate the wonders of modern infrared audio technology, gain unique knowledge and experiences, and motivate them to pursue their future goals with greater clarity and determination.
